You must register to attend Midwest Ukulele Camp. Please read the following information
and register at the bottom of this page or click on the button above.
Here is a listing of our various options and prices. Note that on the registration form, your will be asked to select a tuition option and a room and board option.
All-Inclusive Option Midwest Uke Camp runs from mid-Friday afternoon through Sunday lunch. Included in the full-camp tuition package are hands-on classes, all meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch, lodging, faculty concerts, group strums, open mic, and staff-led jams.
Single Occupancy Tuition: $546
Double Occupancy Tuition: $510
Commuter Option: The Commuter option includes all of the above except for lodging.
Commuter Tuition: $458
Non-Playing Spouses, Companions and Chaperones
Spouses and companions of students, or chaperones of minor students, who will not be attending classes may register for MUC on the following basis:
Both the student and the spouse/companion/chaperone sign up for double occupancy. The student pays the full double occupancy rate, while the spouse/companion/chaperone pays $260. (Commuter Companion Rate is $229 and does not include lodging.) This special rate entitles the spouse/companion/chaperone to double occupancy lodging, the full meal plan, and access to demonstrations and concerts. They may NOT attend classes. To register as a spouse/companion/chaperone, click the appropriate box on the registration form and indicate who you are attending with.
Note: Please submit a separate Registration Form for each registrant, including for a spouse/companion/chaperone.
Rent a Set of Linens
Students staying in the dormitories must either supply their own linens and bedding, or rent a set from Olivet College (the charge this year is $12 per set). To order a set of linens in advance, simply check the appropriate box on the registration form. NOTE: IF YOU CAN, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOUR BRING YOU OWN PILLOW, BLANKET, TOWELS, WASHCLOTH, AND PERSONAL ITEMS as the ones from the college are so-so in quality and comfort. The mattress size is 38” x 80”, extra-long twin sheets
The linen sets rented from Olivet come with the following items:
- pillow and blanket
- 2 sheets & 1 pillow case
- 2 bath towels & washcloth
- Packet containing shampoo, cream rinse, body wash & drinking cup
Reminder: if you elect to supply your own linens, you will also need to bring a pillow and blanket.
Minor Students: Students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult in order to attend MUC as either a commuter or resident. They also must bring along a Permissions Form signed by the parent. If the accompanying adult is not a parent, he or she needs to bring along a document signed by a parent which authorizes him or her to act in loco parentis at our Camp, a role we refer to as Camp Guardian. Please click here to download a copy of the Parental Authorization Form. Parents or Camp Guardians of minor students may register as students, or if they don’t wish to attend classes may register at the chaperone rate, which is identical to the non-playing spouse rate (see above). To register as a spouse/companion/chaperone, click the appropriate box on the registration form and you will automatically be charged the appropriate amount.
Payment: Payment must be made in full at the time of registration. This is done online as part of our registration and processed by Stripe.
If you wish to pay by check, please fill out the online Registration Form and check the button that says, “Skip online payment to pay later or pay offline”. Then, print it and mail the form along with the check, made out to Midwest Uke Camp, to:

Extra Nights’ Lodging
If it best suits your travel plans, you may also reserve a bed on the nights directly preceding or following Camp (Thursday, June 21 and Sunday, June 24). Contact us about reserving rooms for these nights any time up to June 10, 2018. The cost is $45 per night, per person. The Olivet cafeteria will only be open from Thursday dinner thru Sunday lunch, so if you stay on campus on either Wednesday or Sunday evening you will need to find other sources for meals. Olivet is a small town, but has a few restaurants and sandwich/pizza shops, a café, and a sports bar. Alternatively, there are plenty of dining options in nearby Charlotte and Marshall.
Cancellations and Refunds: Until April 22, 2018, your tuition is fully refundable. For cancellations beginning 12:01 AM on April 23, 2018, everything is refunded except $100. For cancellations made on or after June 15, 2018, everything is refunded except $200. There are no refunds for cancellations that take place after midnight, June 21, 2017, or for those students who simply fail to show up to MUC with no notice.
